Kittens

Glamour Puss is pleased to announce the birth of Celeste’s & Choco’s kitten, Eleanor Rose Royale.Celeste gave birth to a little girl by caesarian section, on Wed. 21st January after 64 days gestation. I would especially like to thank our veterinary clinic, Frogn Smådyrpraksis, Drøbak, and especially Vet., Helge Bruland and assistant Grethe, for their skill when we needed help in an acute situation, but not least for their kindness. I cannot thank them enough!

Eleanor Rose is a Seal Point and is showing good depth of colour on the points, just like mum! We are fascinated by Eleanor Rose’s rapid development. She is a trusting little baby that is growing fast! She now tips the scales at 420 grams and not yet 4 wks. old. Her points are darkening nicely, particularly on her face, tail and forelegs, somewhat lighter on her hind legs. Her gloves are nice and even, as are her socks. We need to wait a week or two before determining how her gauntlets are developing. It looks like she has a promising eye colour.

General
Finding the right home for a kitten is a big responsibility and must be taken very seriously. I am sure prospective owners also take the choice of breeder seriously. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like, and be prepared to be asked lots of questions in return. Birmans have an average of 3 kittens per litter, but 1-4 kittens are quite common. Kittens of a particular quality, for showing or breeding do not grow on trees, therefore be patient and be prepared to wait. If you require a particular colour or sex, then the wait may be long. Most breeders will try to put you in touch with other reputable breeders who may be able to help. I can promise that the searching and waiting will all be worth it in the end, when you finally find your Birman baby-bundle-of-love.

Our kittens
We breed kittens for good health, type and temperament. The kittens will be born and raised in our home and be well socialised. They will be litter-trained and used to being groomed.

All Glamour Puss kittens will be provided with a comprehensive care-pack consisting of:

  • Kitten Sales Agreement
  • Food pack and dietary sheet
  • Kitten advice sheet
  • Pedigree, four generations
  • Vaccination certificate
  • Insurance documentation
  • Toy

I will be asking new owners to sign a sales agreement with conditions tailored to that particular kittens’ needs. This is to ensure that kittens will be given the best start possible in life and to safeguard the interests of the buyer and breeder.

An example of the contract will be available on this site later, in English and Norwegian.
